I have never tested them head to head against the 1Cs. I retired the 1Cs many years ago and will be putting them up for sale soon. I have used the 1Cs in stereo and surround modes and have been most impressed with the SDA technology and its passive radiator bass sound.

I've used the LSi9s exclueslvely for Surround Sound, so I cannot give a fair head-to-head evaluation between the two. Both speakers have worked flawlessly since having them.

Hey, any possibility of dropping them off at Westbury on the Island?
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

Ugh... There needs to be a better way of doing this type of thing. I think unless you have a good ebay record or a good rating on here, you should be required to go through an escrow service. Sure, it only happens once and a while, but people are usually out several hundred dollars when it goes down.
Lovin that music year after year.

That is the measure of a quality system, Ain't it. You know you have a quality system when you are very dependant on the recording.

Nice arrogant response Midnite. Use spellcheck next time. It helps with the attitude.

I don't think it was supposed to be a slam szhleppy........he's saying a good system really shows when recordings are done well, or just so-so. That's not an untrue statement.

    breathe szhleppy, breathe.

Mike's right, many measure a system's quality by how accurate it is. if a system sounds like **** on bad recordings, but effin sweet on good recordings, thats the tell tale sign of a very accurate system, i.e. reveals what is on the recording (for better or worse). I have often heard that type of system referred to as "unforgiving" but this is a subjective hobby we have :D

I apologize if I misunderstood. Just looking for my fair share of an internet conflict if possible.
