Well actually hail but enough to stick. Probably about a 1/4" or so. I've lived here since '82 and I don't think I've seen this before. We're damn near at sea level where I live.

We had a little dump of snow here too on friday. It was probably about three inches and then quickly melted and totally dissapeared soon after lunch. I also live around sea level (actually a couple feet below it). It was a little unexpected to wake up to snow... Although snowboarding the day before that was freaking amazing. ;)

I never expected it would snow / hail in cali...

Snowed here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Had wet snow last night as I was driving to, ahem, Walmart. Had hail yesterday in Oakland. And about 2 weeks ago, snow was visible on Bay Area hilltops.

Snow, all we need is a "little" rain and people wreck cars all over the place. It amazes me how many people cant do something as simple as drive a car without hitting something.

That's exactly what you deserve in Southern California. Plus, I hope your housing costs go up another 20-30%.

I imagine a lot of folks out there are trying to jam that stuff up their noses. It doesn't work like that.

I love the housing prices going up, hell I'm an investor so it works for me. :D I just sold a piece of raw land friday for twice what I paid for it 14mo ago. I'm thinking about sacking some of this snow up and selling it too. If I can figure out how to keep it from melting so quick, I'll be the next KINGPIN!!!;)

Dragon, I'm looking forward to the day I can retired, but I don't think I'll ever leave sunny SD. I started a family late, so I have to work for the next 25 years:eek: ; by that time, my house should be paid off.

Dang - my daughter is flying out at 6:00 AM Wed. for SF for 5 days of visiting several design studios and doing some sight seeing. They were hoping for some better weather. Is is supposed to get better?

Thanks Danny. Sounds like she will have rain the whole time she is there. Probably will still have fun though.
