Frustrating Moving Experience

Has any one had dealt before with moving companies? What are the choices if you are stuck with a bad one?

I recently had (and am having) a very bad experience with a moving company. I moved from San Jose, CA to Houston, the moving company picked my stuff on 29th of April, which is not yet completely delivered. They have done two deliveries, one on 23rd of April and the other on 3rd of May. They are yet to deliver the mattress etc, (for the past 3 weeks we are sleeping on floor, including a 10 month old).

The only satisfactory thing is that they delivered all my HT equipment without any harm; only the equipment rack was missing the shelves and was cracked a little from one side.

I really don’t want to let go these people and want to know what my options are.

If it's not a big-name company, not much.
You can call the state's attorney general where the company is operating, but some of these moving companies change their name--and move themselves--before anything can be done.

    Good luck.

    Thanks,

This one is located in CA, which fortunately has better laws to protect consumers.
