SVS or what - Im confused

Well after dipiazza's long thread I'm confused. I wanted the 25 - 31 PCI for listening to music. I have ordered the Outlaw 2150 (2 ch.) receiver. a set of Lsi 9's, trying to get a rotel 1072 cd player and running my old Pioneer PL-518 turntable. The upper end of the frequency response is lower (Sound & Vision Buyers Guide) on SVS subs than a lot of other quality subs on the market. I liked the cylinder design - fits in to my room. The 25-31 PC Plus has a bigger amp. and bigger price , would that help? Or do I need to find another brand of the same quality - any suggestions - thanks - Roadhog

If you asking about a sub for music only, I would recommend a Hsu STF-2 or Onix UFW-10. Not sure what you're confused about, but an SVS will work fine as well. However, for music only, I'd look elsewhere.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Roadhog, I simply was not prepared for what i was getting with the svs.
Dont be turned off to svs, Im a college kid and cant lie, sometimes i liek the continuos pounding sound you get at club or something from your typical Rap music.
The svs isnt going to sound like a boom box woofer. However thats not to saw its not going to rock you. I would still strongly reccomend svs, as i now have been listing to both that and my polk psw303 side by side. its no comparison.
Get the 25-31PCi... or PC+ if you can afford it. You wont be dissapointed.Terps Swimming!
