know i know monster cables are not highly regarded here, but i bought 2 pair of Monster Cable ULTS1000MT-10/10, 100 bucks each....the banana plugs wont go in far enough into my adcom....should i cut the plugs off the end and try to bare wire it or buy regular 14 gauge wire and be out 100 bucks....they fit snug into my reciever.......what im really worried about is vibration making them come out

banana plugs don't always fit in all the way. and long as it's a snug fit and doesn't fall out. the banana plugs should be ok.

maybe your speaker can't use banana plugs.. some look like they can, but won't.

Oops, saw the model in you sig. line,, I had a 555 and purchased some monster speaker cables, about 2 years ago,, took em back,,and replaced with signal cable, bananas on both ends,, no problem, good fit, good solid cable.

I've had issues with my 555's posts, too. The cobalt locking bananas work great, but I might just try to replace the posts instead...
