Looks better than the previous model. This one at $899 is going to compete with NAD and Rotel in the high current receiver wars for powering LSi series speakers.

The Model 1070 also offers an RS-232 port for software upgrades, lip-sync delay to correct the "Godzilla Effect" (when the dialog timing doesn't match up with the actor's mouth movements),
LOL. I don't think we've had a thread on this so called "Godzilla Effect". How could that be?:D -

(Also, this is my first post. Hello! ) -
Cool. Welcome to the forum. Don't be shy and give us a little review after you get some time on that receiver. Inquiring minds want to know.
Have fun. -

Do search on Outlaw 1070 and you will find a review I did back in September.

for the money it looks like a nice receiver. I believe they made a mistake going DVI. HDMI is taking over this connection. Having HDMI switching on a receiver(if everything plays nice together) is a beautiful thing.DVI is slowing dieing out.

My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -

The reason why they went DVI is because it has less problems than HDMI, I don't think they will switch until HDMI 1.3 is released.
check out the rebutal from Johnson: DVI section

I received a quick refund from Outlaw after my 30 day trial period. Outlaw customer service is very good. The advice in this forum convinced me my SDA's need more than 65wpc and greatly benefit from biamping. I ended up spending twice as much money for Arcam AVR300 after trying out loaners during a four month period. Three local dealers let me take demo equipment home. The sound qualilty of the AVR300 when set up with channel 6 and 7 to biamp the mains is hard to beat. The only thing the 1070 does better is DVI switching. I prefer to run my DVI direcly into my monitor anyway.Sony KF-50WE610 LCD Projection TV
