Anyone ever had positive results removing ballpoint ink from leather. Accidents do happen.

We got a little kit that came with our sofa to remove stains and stuff like that. It has worked a couple times on our leather sofas but it's not perfect (and it showed us how dirty our sofa really is :o ). It's some kind of glue stick style thing you rub on and then wipe off with a soft cloth.

Some have said hairspray works as well as those mr clean magic erasers, but I'm just going by what I've read. Might want to read up on it more before putting hairspray or any other product on it since it can be so easily damaged.

I have tried a number of things so far including the magic erasers. Good for walls, but not leather. Hair spray may be a little harsh. Even tried toothpaste which works great on clothes, but not leather. I am just trying to be careful as the chair is relatively new and I do not want to mark it. Thanks.

Someone got ink on a my daughter's new suede jacket. We took it to the best cleaners in town and they couldn't get it out completely. Took it from a dark blue to a faint green and they told us that anymore cleaning would discolor the leather. Cost $40 to sorta get it off (we were told there was no guarantee from the beginning).

It depends a lot on the finish on the leather. My leather furniture comes with a 5 yr. full replace/repair warranty, even if the kids or the cat make a mark or scratch, they fix or replace it.

Having had a lot of leather furniture, auto interiors, I would first try soapy water on a paper towel, the paper towl is usually a little more abrasive than a cloth. Then I would move to diluted 409 and a paper towl. You have to be careful not to start taking finish off the leather, you will end up with a light spot. Some things like a Sharpie marker you have to use denatured alchohol on a Q tip, or a baby wipe, however be cautious because most leather is finished with analine dyes, for which alchohol is a solvent. It may sound weird, however I used WD-40 and a Q tip on the leather interior of my Grand Cherokee to remove some pesky green chewing gum (and yes my daughter lived!).
