bi-amp RTi12 imped

my RTi12's are bi-amped, so my reciever is running the tweets and mids and my adcom is running the 6 woofers. now to the ? what should i set my reciever at ...6 or 8 ohms. maybe a dumb question but i don't wanna kill my reciever....it's my pride and joy and also expensive

    Your speakers are 8 ohm, set the receiver accordingly.

    are they still 8 ohms when their bi-amped....wouldn't the top half be 4 to 6 ohms...im not worried about the adcom im sure it can handle it but ive killed my other yamaha htr-5890 with a pair of cewin vega vs-120's

    no, I believe the ohm rating stays the same upon biamping
