I am looking for a carver amp to drive my srs 2's. In your opinion would the M1.5t sound good or the TFM series? What is the output of the 1.5t? thank you

Let me know if you are interested in the tfm series, as I may be able to hook up up with a mint TFM_45,if interested. It belongs to my brother, the original owner, serviced by carver in the last 6 months, currently powering 2.3's,he is planning to move into tubes and ss.:)
JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

I used a TFM-45 on SRS 2's for over a year, pretty decent matchup.

Oh I kind of like the Carver silver 7 or 9t, you are using a pin/blade connect? I was thinking all the SRS2 were pin/blade. Dont know what you budget is though. The mentioned 45 would give them some balls.

+1 on the Carver. I run mine with a 35. Good match with the 45.

M1.5t is 350wpc and not bridgeable.

TFM-45 is 375wpc and bridgeable to 1,000 watts.

I think the Parasound is better match with the SDA's.

I'm looking at the Tfm-42,45 or the M1.5T. I have the blade/blade. I can't use monoblocks. Silver 7,9's are monoblocks correct? The M1.5t is not bridgeable? The speaker commons are not tied together? I guess I'm just looking for a TFM 42 or a 45 then.

I hope I am in the right place. I have SDA SRS 2 speakers. (twin blade). I wish to receive advice from people who own or have owned carver M1.5t or the TFM 42/45 amps. I wish advice from those people only. No offense. (NO parasound, Krell, etc, etc, etc,). I don't have the money. I haven't fired these speakers up yet except to a Marantz SR 6000DC receiver. Sounds good so far. I am a poor man with poor ways. Anyone with experience with the carvers and sda's I humbly request your input.( as to sound etc.). I think Russman and polker since 85 answered my question tho. George might can hook me up.

I've owned both the M1.5t and the TFM-45 (as well as the Silver 9t's). The TFM-45 is a better amp than the m1.5t. I had two TFM-45's bridged for mono ops for awhile and found no appreciable improvement in performance over one.

    Get the TFM-45.

    Dude,

Here's advice from a FORMER Carver owner (me):

I have ran Carver gear with my SDA-1c's. Going to the Parasound amp made a larger difference than getting my Bel Canto DAC 2. Hooking up the Parasound after the Carver was actually one of those deals where you actually hook up a piece of gear and go, "Wow."
