Are MTX amps good equipment?

I am looking at Alpine and MTX amps. I will be putting in Polks Ex368's (4) in my 2002 Super crew and want to use an amp with them. Are MTX amplifiers good equipment? I'm looking at two different MTX 4 channel models, the 6304 ($400) and the 4244 ($280).
The alpine I was considering is the V-Power 4 channel MRP-F200 ($200).
Please advise, any comments or suggestions appreciated.

Back to the speakers for a second, how do the EX368's measure up to the DX7's. I have not purchased any type yet. I have tracked down DX7's even though they are discontinued. Which would be the better choice knowing I would be using an amplifier.

Why are the DX7's a better choice than the EX368's. I also notice according to the polk web site specs that the DX7 is a 40W and the EX368 a 60W continuous.
