System Link question!! Need help ASAP!

We are trying to throw a Sys Link party tommorow at my house between two xboxes...
We are using a router since we have two straight C and C5 connectors --- we are running the one from my room to my routers WAN connection and the other into the 1 slot connector...
We can get the game lobby up - buuuuuuuuuut.... we cant seem to find each other in the lobby, any ideas????
