PSW650 is very tricky

Just wondering what position you 650 owners have the sub placed in right now. I started playing around with placement again and found that I get tighter and deeper bass with one woofer facing me and the other facing the front wall.

I used to have my 650 sitting at a 45 degree angle in the corner. But when I switched to the PSW1000 I found that position to be a little too boomy, so I ended up moving it so that it is positioned directly behind my right LSi15. Still have plenty of volume, but bass is a little tighter, and cleaner.
YMMV

Cool. How does the 650 compare to the 1000?
I'm still blown away by my 650's low freq extension in it's new position. -
There is no doubt about it. The 650 reaches lower than the 1000. Not by far, but still lower. But from about 30hz on up the 1000 is VERY loud. It seems to be able to achieve the volume of the 650 without even straining.
Truth be told. I'll probably end up selling both and trying an SVS or similar.:oHT

Cool. Thanks for the comparison. I don't see that as a bad thing. Even though it won't dig as low, if it sounds more efforless it should be more musical.
