Onkyo Setup Help Needed!!
I now have my Onkyo 703, the Polk speakers and the SVS sub. Have not been able to find a setting on the receiver to make the speakers small. Does it do this automatic when I use the speaker setup?
If not where is the setting at on this receiver?

I can't say it's exacly the same, I have the 901, and you have to go:
advanced menu-> speaker set up-> speaker config
You can then adjust large or small.

The 703 does not have an advanced menu, but it does have a speaker configuration. There is nothing is this section that specifys small or large.

I also just found out from another forum that by setting the crossover at 80hz sets the speakers up as small.
Is this correct?

I have have the 803, and it does not have an exact menu were you can specify large or small. The 703's automatic should specify the size of your speakers. I have a pair of rti10's, and it puts those to full band which would be considered a large speaker. I had last years model nr-801, and that let you specify the size of the speaker.

In the advanced setup, speaker configuration, where you can set the crossover individually for front/center/surrond/surrback speakers.
Setting a crossover for a speaker, is the same as on other receivers as setting the speaker to small (bass below the xover is sent to the subwoofer instead of the speaker).
If you set the crossover for a speaker to full band, that is the same as on other receivers as setting the speaker to large (bass from the speaker is not sent to the subwoofer).Win7 Media Center -> Onkyo TXSR702 -> Polk Rti70
