How do you all keep the area behind your entertainment center neat? I have cables running and intertwining everywhere..

Is there a product that I don't know about to help? Or is it as simple as using tie twisties?

I built cable channels into my center. Everything goes through the post that hold up the shelves. It's a pain to move stuff, but it looks better.

I used to use twisties, so you can do that, or check the hardware place (home depot) for some flexible electrical conduit. They should have some that is split, or you can split it yourself.

Heaven to betsy, that anything electronic might have a wire attached to it.

Just get the wires seperated by type, do your best to keep the power cables away from the others. There are many types of wire ties on the market, from inexpensive plastic to velcro wraps at www.partsexpress.com. Wire management takes a bit of work and little practice, just take your time, I was once very very convinced that my wire be so neat and orderly, now, eh, it is not that big a deal.

Last time I cleaned mine up I had about four "orphans"... they weren't connected to anything. Now I use velcro, cable clamps and try to buy cables that are actually the length that I need.

I zip tie each set together.
Power wires are zip tied together. Input wires are together. Output wires are together. Speaker wires are together.
They are sperated from each other but they are together.

you could always try flexy-tube. I did for a while but when moving my stuff around a lot it was more a pain than anything else

I use runs of the black Flex-tube. I try to keep power cords on once side of the unit and video/audio on the other. I try to have only one cross point between them when they do have to cross.
