I think everyone needs to drop the sensitivity thing and stop taking things so seriously, this is on both sides of this brewing little war. If that post, the guy thread, or the babe thread affects you that much, then you need medication.
Genocide in Darfur, Terrorism here and in the middle east, world hunger.......all of these things to be concerned about in the world, and guy/babe/braziere threads is where we choose to take our moral stands? you have GOT to be kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!Living Room 2 Channel -

Maybe some of you guys can think in terms that are broader than just yourselves.......is it too much to ask that people think about who all is on this board before they post things?
Good effing grief....
You want my take? I know you don't but here it is anyway. You're right, this is an audio forum populated by men, women, old, young, heterosexuals and ****. If one were very sensitive to others feelings they probably would think twice about posting some of the things we see here. It is very likely that neither the babe threads nor the guy thread are very appropriate. HOWEVER, and you probably won't agree with this reasoning either, the population here IS very predominantly mature heterosexual males. In accordance, I think if you were going to rate appropriateness, a babe thread is much more appropriate than a **** thread. In other words a 'hot babe' thread is going to offend far less people than a 'hot dude' thread. You've got maybe 2 males and 1 female that have shown appreciation for the guy thread. Compare that to the appreciation shown for the babe thread. You've most likely offended 100 times the people with the guy/**** thread so maybe you should take that into consideration before you start preaching appropriateness. Having said that, I personally don't give a rat's **** what anybody posts, but that's just old liberal, unsensitive me.
Also, I might add, if I made a habit of visiting a website in which I was an extreme minority I don't think I would make an issue about posts that offended me. I'd either ignore it or move on.2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables. my personal feelings a) the hot guy thread was not ****, they were hot guys. hetero Women, and **** men, will apprectiate the aesthetic equally.
b) if the guy thread botherred any guys, you need to become waaaaaay more comfortable with your sexuality. I am Hetero, not by choice, but by chemistry. Hot guys do nothing for me in terms of exciting me, but it certainly doesnt make me feel all uncomfortable either.
"oh my god, the pecs, the chiselled abs.....HOW OFFENSIVE!!!!!"...LOL
the only thing that went through my mind at the hot guy thread was a) in the context, I found it humerous, and b) I need to seriously consider SALAD!!!!!! those guys probably never even looked at a hostess cake, much less ate one.
so, in short for me, sexual discomfort = no, insecurity about my body fat index = yes. Thanx Brett, ya ****!Living Room 2 Channel -

You're out of your mind if you believe that I'm just going to keep my mouth shut if something doesn't bother me....extreme minority or not.
While I wasn't personally offended by this, I can completely understand why women on the board would be less than comfortable here with a bunch of guys getting stupid over various bouncing **** (fake even) like they'd never seen them before.comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -
Brett,
Its all good my man and you know we are cool, however, I better do what?? are you kidding;) I do exactly what I want, you know it. I have no probelm with your guy post, but why r u jumping on the guys for posting girls?
Dude, you forget I actually know you as far as your club polk life, you are no more a holy roller than I am, sure when we are at work and what not we act a certain way, but its club polk man, those negative posts when we bash each other are only going to lead to no underwear posting rules and their goes another fun thing. I was not trying bash your post just point out the two were in my eyes basically the same thing.
RT1 -
I can not believe that ANYONE has taken offense (if it at all) to either of these two threads. This is coming from a Hetrosexual, gun/hunting loving, card carrying republican conservative male!
People need to lighten up just a bit, as much as I enjoy the hot women that were posted, I also do not have a problem with the women or **** males posting the 'hot men' thread, to each their own! Gals, have at it, you have every right to be just as much of a horn dog as us men do, more power to you. I poked a little good natured fun in that thread, but it was firmly tounge in cheek.
Now if you want to debate if this type of posting has a place in a audio/video forum, well that is fair game, but keep in mind that this is in the clubhouse where many topics are on the menu every day. If someone was to post hardcore ****, or if this was a site that we would expect to see kids on quite a bit, well that is a different story. Last time I checked, we are all adults here, right?Jerry
