First time post, I have been lurking for a while now. To the point - I want a new system for mostly music, but would like to here my future HDTV thru it also. I am definitely considering 2 channel because of my room setup and I do not have to have all the speakers that go with 5, 6, 7.1 setups. What I am currently looking at is HarmanKardon HK3480 or an Outlaw RR2150 receiver. I will use this to push a set of POLKs RTi 8's or 10s and a sub of some kind. I need a turntable to play my collection and a CD player. What I need is any suggestions for a Sub, CD/DVD. I also would like to know is anybody using Outlaw equipment? Its internet order only so I have no way to hear one. Is the quality and service good? Is there any benefit to buying a 7.1 etc. and using it when I will mostly be using it in 2 channel mode? I am going to spend around $2500 on this system and then go after the 37 in screen.
Any help or advise would be appreciated.

welcome to Club Polk. I'd go with the Outlaw 2150 in a heartbeat and you might want to consider substituting the rti8/10 for a pair of LSI9's. Smaller speaker, yes. Inherently superior in every way. Just get a musical sub to match it. Velodyne, HSU, SVS.

    Velodyne cht-10 sub
