Hi, I have a Polk Xrt12 reference tuner for XM radio. I have the optical output connected to my sound card. I know that the optical out is 44100hz (32000hz on the traffic, etc. channels), but does anyone know if it's 16-bit or 24-bit? I haven't been able to find these specs in the manual.
Thanks,
bort.

That's a good question actually... the DACs are 24 bit, but I'm not sure if its a lower bit resolution piped into a higher bit DAC. Anyway, but to the subject, I'll have to look it up.Brian Knauss

By any chance did someone get around to looking this up?
