Looking for a stereo amp, ran across a pair of these amps on Audiogon, wondering if anyone has any experience with any of this companies products.

My next amplifier (s) will be Monarchy Audio. Have you been to their website? I've never heard the SE-100's but I've read they are excellent. A friend and my brother have Monarchy DAC's and DIP's and they are very solid pieces that sound excellent. Also from what I understand their customer service is excellent even if you buy used gear.

When I get the funds together this will be my next system:

    (2) Monarchy Audio SM-70 pros (run in mono)
    (1) Monarchy Audio M24 Tube Dac w/ tube line stage pre
    (1) pair Polk Audio Lsi-15's

They are a small company out of SanFrancisco that believes in building very high quality (high end) equipment with fairly low production runs. The emphasis is on quality construction and quality sound. Simple, solid engineering, nothing fancy or complicated, attention to detail. Most if not all their amps are pure class-A and they tout Zero feedback in their designs.

The only negative I can see is if you buy them new and don't like them, they don't hold their value very well. Expect to get about 50% of what you pay if you buy new. Monarchy products are a great bargain used.

I say go for it, be different. I don't think you'll be disappointed, IMO.

the ad is for a pair of the SE-100 delux at 1000.00pr, trading emails with the seller now.

just don't know, never heard them, but the reviews are very good, Class A, zero feedback, I like the looks of them also.

Well that's less than 50% retail. Original MSRP is $1180 each. I'd have no problem recommending the company and it's products. I've never heard the amp. IMO, I don't think you can go wrong unless your other components somehow aren't up to the task of getting the most out of the Mono's. I don't think you can the touch the quality or sound for anywhere near $1K. True balanced single ended class-A. The Deluxe is the most recent upgraded model.

In a couple days? I'll lay odds they are sold before the package arives. :D

I can't talk at this point. I've recently found myself buying several components at the same time just to make comparisons. Been talking to Hoosier too much lately, I guess...

Congrats! Let us know what you think of them.
