Absolute Sound's budget component of the year a couple of years ago, highly regarded by Stereophile, and a couple of Club Polk members have mentioned owning and being happy with these as well. Simple two way speakers that image superbly while having decent bass despite being small. I didn't need to use a subwoofer with these in a 12' x 18' room listening to a wide variety of music. Not a mark on them, I'm just not using them. I was very impressed during the time I did use them, which amounted to about 80 hours.
These are 4 ohm nominal, 87 dB efficient, -3dB rating 65Hz to 20kHz, weigh 10 lbs each. Recommended amplification 25 to 100 watts per channel although I used them with a 350 watt/channel amp at moderate volume levels. They should be mounted on stands to sound their best. Box and manual included.

Excellent, small bookend.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
