I didn't find a thread on this so I thought I'd start one up:
I watched this the other night, and quite to my surprise, really enjoyed it. The acting wasn't bad, lots of actions, lots of swearing (Not that that's a good thing.. ha) not the best screenwrite, but still very enjoyable. Maybe it was the "gansta" style that drew me in.. I know not. Only, that I really enjoyed it. The wife liked it too, but not as much as I did.
A pleasant surprise: 7.5/10
Good way to pass the evening.

Thanks for looking -
It was better than I thought it'd be, but not great. The acting was so/so. The story was silly. But the action was decent, had a better soundtrack than I expected (the reason I avoided it so long was because I figured it'd be a hip-hop soundtrack, which drives me nuts, but it wasn't at all). Pretty fun leave-your-brain-at-the-door action though. If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I agree completely. Not the best acting but still a very enjoyable movie. Well worth a rent, not sure about a buy. I won't own it.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

Watched it last week some time on PPV...
I think Bobman nailed it though. -
HORRIBLE acting AND camera work. Walberg's acting was decent, not his best (ala Three Kings), but watchable. The movie LOOKED like it was filmed on a set. There were NO stand in actors, short of the basketball game scene. It was if the city was empty, short of the small cast of good and bad guys.
Interesting storyline, but I was left wanting from the overall production. I wouldn't even bother renting it, unless you've got a rent one / get one free coupon.
Cheers,
