I just heard the pold sda srt for the 1st time today :) .
I was very impressed with their performance.
Being an avid fan of the sda series i can only hope to own a set of these speakers soon.
However i did find their sound to be very different from my polk sda srs 1.2tl.
For those lucky enough to own both speakers, have you made any direct comparisons between these two speakers in 2 channel mode?

I don't own both, I have the sda 1.2tl's, but I have listened to both.
The biggest differences I noticed was bass presentation, in favor of the SRT, which of course run dual powered subs.
And mid-highs and highs in favor of the 1.2tls.

For theater hands down the SRT's would be the way to go.
For 2 channel listening, the 1.2tl's are my strong favorite.

    +1 Luc.

Afterall, the SRT were primarily an HT speaker system, the demo we heard at the factory during PF05 left no doubt of their supremacy in this area in the Polk heirarchy. I would think that if you had some sort of pass-through with a nice tubed pre the fronts would do music fairly well, at least above average, but we did not get to hear them this way.
