PSW 300 vs SVS PB12-Plus/2

Hi !!!
I have a PSW 300 sub which is used with the RTi9 bookshelf speakers. Both are being replaced - the sub by a SVS PB12-Plus/2 and the mains with hopefully, an SRT system which I am looking to buy.
My current setup is great already, and the sub performs flawlessly when hooked up to the Lexicons M-8 sub output. I would say that the sub can reproduce 60-70% of the bass that I can hear compared to a movie theatre. I get great deep bass which flows with the music when listening to movies (we wont get into music here, as that is another story...) which I am always astonished that the combo of the sub/processor produces with ease.
I consider the percentage of bass sound replication quite high for home audio equipment as it is difficult to acheive in the home environment.
I wont have the SVS sub till next week or the first full week in march as they are backordered till friday the 24th.
I bought the new sub shortly after I joined the forum - based on fellow polkies high praises about them. With what I hear now, I find it difficult imagining getting better sub sound to what I have now; but then again, if fellow polkies give high praises about SVS, how can I go wrong ?
First question is -
1 - what kind of sound should I expect ? Given the caliber of this sub, I give it the nickname - the "Galaxy Destroyer".
2 - if I get the SRTs, which is a sub/sat combo, the subs having 300 watts of amp power each, would the SVS be considered overkill, or would it be an additional enhancement ?
3 - anyone here have a single ended cable to a tri-cable end to connect a single sub output to three subs ?
Thanks much everyone !!! I look forward to reading your input !!!
