SVS vs HSU

Hey guys

I just purchased the HSU VTF-3 MK2 and this thing is awesome! This thing goes so low at 1/4 volume it shakes my entire basement. I can't believe what I was missing without a sub. It mixes in with my speakers so nice that most of the time I can't tell where the bass is coming from. Has anyone here owned an HSU and SVS? I want to know how they compare to eachother.

Haven't owned but compared the PB10 and VTF2, very close, but the extra ext. of the SVS was compelling. Ed Mullen did a comparison between the STF3 and the PB12ISD with the SVS edging the Hsu. So by that logic I'd put the Hsu VTF3 somewhere between the PB12 ISD and either the Plus or the Ultra.

You've got a great sub...don't worry about the other guys, just enjoy it.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

I've had both the Hsu STF-2 and SVS PB12. IMO, both of them were very impressive for HT.

What you have is as good as it gets in that price range.
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Giuseppe, congrats on a nice choice of sub. I have the same sub for about three years now, and it still very good for both musics and movies. With the space and $ constraints that I have, I can't imagine needing anything bigger or more expensive. I know Hsu is releasing the HO model, but it's more expensive.
