Who cares what your friend thinks? You're the one who will be listening to them, so I think you've answered your own question there.

    Max,

I guess I do not understand what you are asking. umm...I guess it sounds like you like the RTi10 better. /shrug

I hope I answered what you were asking. Though I only have your word that you liked them better. I guess I am safe as long as you did not lie to me.

With all seriousness, you buy the speaker that sounds good to you. Coming to a messageboard and asking people if they think it sounds better, or getting your friends to convince you that a different one sounds better, or even if the President of the US said that a different one sounded better, does not matter. What matters is what sounds best to you.

Now if you want to know the specs of a speaker, or the power of a certain amp, or even how well a receiver has been observed to last...those are the type of things that you can get answers to on a messageboard.

BTW...welcome to the Polk Forum and never let peer pressure sway you.
    :)

The RF35's are discontinued now too, so if you (wrongly) let your friend talk you into Klipsch, make sure you are getting a good discount or else buy the new model (RF82).

I personally like the RF-35 (see my sig...I have them :D), but fireshoes is right: they have now been discontinued and replaced with the RF82.

However, it doesn't really matter who all likes which speaker. It only matters which one you like. I would suggest you take some music that you are very familiar with the the store(s) with you, and compare the speakers, hopefully side-by-side.

Good luck, and welcome to the forum!

My personal opinion is that for the money the RTi10's are the best going out there today. Sure there is better out there, but how much money are you willing to spend, and for how much difference is what you will "actually" hear?

People who love great sound all like different things......some people prefer the "punch" of the bass, and others prefer the "crisp", "clean" sound. It really comes down to what you prefer. I know I have heard both of these and I would go with the RTi10's anyday! .....To be fair, I could be slightly biased since I do own a set :D

    Good luck!
