Welcome to the forum. It looks like you have been given some good advice so far, but I'll give you my opinion to add to the confusion...errr...help:)

First, I'll ask a couple you a couple of questions to help us out:

    1) What is your system going to used for? (%music/%movies)
    2) With the items mentioned, are you trying to stick to a certain budget?
    3) What type of listening room do you have? (dimensions, layout)
    4) How often do you think you will want to upgrade?

I've got several suggestions of my own, but I want to get a better understanding of what you are trying to accomplish before I go throwing your budget completely out of whack.

    Hi okiepolkie,
1)the system will be used mostly for movies, 70% movies and 30% music.
    2) yes, I got a budget and I cant go over the total price of this system.
    3) is a lounge room 5mt. by 4mt. theres also an open space that goes in the kitchen without door, you think will make big difference?
    4) I would like to keep this new system for at least 3-4 years.........

Okiepolkie, thank you for your help.

This will be within your same budget and sound better:

Switch the Rti10 to Rti8 and switch the PSW404 to an SVS PB10.

    Enjoy!

    maxpolk,

I guess I should have asked what country you are in as well.

Your space equals around 15ft x 12ft, which is a decent size.

PolkThug's suggestions are the same ones I would recommend as well. However, if you are not within North America, I don't think the SVS would be an option. Switching to the Rti8's and a different subwoofer would definetly be my suggestion. My only other suggestion would be to upgrade to the CSi5, instead of the CSi3.

Can understand completely about a budget. If it was a little higher, I might suggest the next step up from that receiver, but it will be fine for your system.

After I've said all that, if I could only get the system you outlined, I would be just fine with it.

Hope we have been of some help.

ditch the polk sub for a Velodyne, HSU or SVS and you're doing great.
Keep the 10's. They're the best of the rti tower lot imo.

hey guys, thank you so much for your advice so far, one last question:
what about the velodyne vx-10 which I havent heard yet, instead of the psv-404?
I'm from Wellington, New Zealand, and I never heard or seen a SVS subwoofer......
