Well I woke up this morning around 7 and checked the the status of the adcom ht sent me. Yes yes yes it left at 6:54 this morning from the local wharehouse, I'll just cancel my plans for today and wait for it. Ok it's eight 8 pm lets call and see when the trucks stop running. The dude told me give it another hour or two. Well i'ts now after 11 and no fedex dude. Blew off three things I've had planed for a while because I thought they would do like ups and deliver until the truck is empty. I kwen better every time I check the tracking numbers from fedex it always gets pushed back, every time. So now I have to wait until monday when I will have no time to get to it, or for the rest of the week for that matter. Then to top it off, I'm leaving early friday to go see the in-laws down state. Wife says we could leave early sunday so I will have time to mess around with it, but I've heard that before, which means we will get home at like 2 am or something stupid like that and I'll be tired and want to go to bed so I can go to work at 8 am and get home at like 11 pm( quite busy at work right now got like 2 more weeks of long hours). So I should get to mess with it some time after the next 2 weeks. Yeah I know, I'm crying, but have had a trying day with the tykes, and not having fedex stop by, was the iceing on the cake. sorru for venting here, but it's the club house so if i'm gonna do it on the forums I think this would be the place.

Later all

    The 22nd is Washington's B'day, the 12th was Lincoln's B'day. Many years ago the two were combined into one, President's Day. They made it a Monday holiday to give gov't workers a 3 day weekend. Most of the rest of the workers in the US still have to work. Makes a lot of sense, eh!?!

    Did the package tracking actually say "Out for delivery?"
    I've never had a problem like that with FedEx Home/Ground. The fact that they deliver on Saturday is a big Plus in the first place. UPS doesn't. If you had UPS, you would be waiting until Tuesday even if the package was in the local warehouse on Friday afternoon. You just never know with shipments, there could have been a problem with the truck or something unforseen like traffic closures (common in Atlanta).
    For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

    I had that happen with UPS a month or so ago and they weren't going to deliver on Saturday (nor was their customer pickup open).

    I drove down there and hounded the security guard, who ended up calling a supervisor, and I got my package.

    Don't tell me that I can't get my package that should have been delivered already.....screw that.

    UPS delivers on saturday, it is a little more than next day delivery. I have done it twice with deliveries from www.jr.com
    Win7 Media Center -> Onkyo TXSR702 -> Polk Rti70

    It is always better and safer to have your packages delivered to a work address. If the Adcom was shipped Fedex Ground it will show loaded for delivery on Saturday but they do not work on Saturday. The trucks are loaded for Monday. If it was Fedex Home Delivery, they do work on Saturday but not on Monday.

    Yes it did. I live in the middle of noware and their usually is not that much traffic between here and their, not to mention it's mostly freeway/high way. If the package is over 25 pounds our 2 fedex drivers that work this area don't like to deal with it. When I worked here in town I used to help them unload shipment we would get from them( the lady always complained that stuff was to heavy).
    any ways guess I have to wait another day or two(gasp).

    Yea, it would be much nicer if we could go back to having both Lincoln's and Washington's birthday off. :p I'll spin some tunes in the Tri-Vista for you tomorrow Jesse. Dont work toooooooo hard......

    well I punched out form work about 1 o'clock today and sat with the boss while he was looking for a new receiver for the shop(as he has already toasted 6) at 1:30 the phone rang and one of the girls said "pick it ted it's for you" so I answered the phone and said"hi hon." she said "tell me you love me." My reply was "so it made it. Any ways, I hooked up all but the ac and let it sit for about an hour, and took the top of so it could get to room temp a little quicker, and also to make sure no condesation had formed while warming up. I spun a couple of cds just to see what we had. Instantly noticed a wider sound stage, and more pronounced bass at lower volumes center stage is right on, lastly over all it is much cleaner(and I'm using a technics receiver with the headphone outpu as my preout.
