Outside of Polk, the next brand of speakers I would probably consider purchasing would be Paradigm. If anyone out there is familiar with both, what Paradigm line of speakers would be in the same class to do a fair comparison with Polks RTi series?

Paradigm has a very good sound quality (like Polk) .. But, i prefeer Polk. Listen carefully...has a little bit clean sound than Paradigms. Try.

    Monitor series.

I agree. The next step for me from the R series is going right to some studio 20 or 40's.

I would consider these a little below the Lsi line. Though I can't afford the power for the Lsi's. =(

As someone said before. both are great companies and my dad owns a pair of monitor 7's.

After my audition I found that the Paradign Monitor 7's do sound very good, but I still prefer the sound of the Polk RTi 8's.

The Studio series is a step up, and will be a consideration if I look to upgrade my main theater.

For the home office setup, which is where I was actually thinking of putting the Paradigms, I'll stick with the RTi 6's, 4's, CSi3, and FXis, for now. Thanks for the input.

Other add point to Polk RTi instead the Paradigms..are the finish.

The RTi's looks far better and pretty than the models of Paradigms :D

    (and the sound too, obviously)

I agree with Seby, the RTi have real wood veneers while the Paradigms dont graduate from the vinyl veneers until the Sig series - but then, we're talking post $2000.

Seby, and Joey, both of you make good points. I will be enjoying my Polks for quite a while.

The Paradigm Studio series v2 had the veneer as an option. I had the rosenut which looked absolutely stellar.
