Hey there. I'm just learning about all of the stuff and have made a few purchases (maybe a little in haste) but am trying to make the best of it. Now, first of all I have a Panasonic reciever model SA-HE200. I bought what i thought were monitor 30's to add as rears to my sony towers. Turns out that the salesman gave me the wrong box and yippee i got 40's instead(for the price of 30's) my bad i know but i just couldn't resist keeping them. Upon realizing that the 40's as fronts sounded unbelievably better than my cheap sony towers i decided to go and bye some 30's for surrounds and also picked up a CS1. I have a sony SA-WX700 sub as well. I really like that sound of it all but would really like towers in the front just for cosmetic purposes(hiding the mess of wires behind my tv-sony vega 42"HD). I have a store credit at my local stereo shop and am thinking about getting the monitor 70's to put up front and moving the 40's to surround and keeping the 30's for dual surround centers in the future upon possible upgrade of my reciever. Could someone tell me their thoughts on all this. Is it a waste to add the 70's? Should i maybe use the store credit to immediately upgrade my reciever? and keep the current set-up? I think the reciever is pretty decent according to the specs but like i said. i'm kind of new. Any thoughts would be apreciated.

Yes. you must upgrade your receiver NOW !!!!!!!
Forget Panasonic, Philips ... all the "comercial" brands.
Look DENON, HARMAN KARDON, YAMAHA receivers (Marantz is great..but very high prices). When you hook your speakers in a true receiver like the brands that i mentioned...you FEEL the BIG difference of quality sound. You can't believe that you hear.
Try this models..and choose (depending your bucks) the correct model for your ears.
Anyway, at this level of quality, all the receivers are great. ByeMy current new system (step by step )
A/V Receiver: YAMAHA RX-V657
DVD Player: YAMAHA DVD-S657
Main Towers: polkaudio® Monitor 50
Wiring: NeoTecH KS1007 OFC High Definition Speaker Cable ( 2 x 2.64 mm² )
