A thought about making a post

Hello fellow freaks,
How are ya?
I have made a few post here and told this was disscussed
at lenght a few months ago or it was talked to death or
I'm just wasting space.
Gee, I'm new here and a lot of others are too.
This place is being invaded by Polkies.
Not all of us have read every thread there is to read.
I have learned very valuable info here thanks to some,
and you know who you are.
So remember, you're dealing with people here.
We might not know all the in and outs of this site.
We also might not know everything, but there are things
everyone can learn from someone.
Just because you're a Nobody doesn't mean you're not a somebody

Perhaps I was one who suggested you use the "search" button. If it came off as sounding terse it wasn't intended. Welcome to all new members. Just a suggestion though perhaps do a search to get your info before starting an already beaten to death thread. Or perhaps revive a current thread. This is not a rule just a way to make your first days here go a bit smoother. Also be thick skinned, willing to shrug it off, make jokes, have fun, don't take us or yourself to seriously.
Sincerely,
Your resident welcoming committee"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -
I also throw a "try using the search feature" comment out quite often. And it WAS meant to be terse. Why should someone put in effort to help someone who won't even make the slightest effort to help themselves? If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

cmon gang, be nice
in regards to the search feature, I've been here for years and still use it regularly. theres allways stuff I miss and its a good way to get info. if there are still issues, of course, many people here will be more than glad to help if possible.
I learned early that the gang here can be brutal at times, but extremely helpful, knowlegable.....oh, and funny as hell.Living Room 2 Channel -

Well, I have also used the Search Feature and
did not find what I was looking for, so I made
a new post.
Gee, Imagine, Starting a New Path. -
When I suggest the search feature, I don't mean it in a bad way. USUALLY, you can turn up a lot more info than you ever wanted to know. It also helps cut down on the redundancy. So, please, don't take it as an insult.
Find your info, report back and discuss in greater detail...
BDTI plan for the future. - F1Nut -
I got the "use the search button" comment before also so now I do.
If I do not find the answers or just want fresh input I start a new thread.
Many time I have started a thread only to have the next post be a link to a thread that already exist.
I don't take it hard.
If I took all the coments that could be considered negative personally I would be mad at alot of people here but instead there is no one here, NO ONE, that I do not like.
I have taken jabs and coments that could be read as jokes or punches from many people and I just shrug them off or laugh.
This is an internet forum. You will encounter all kinds here and some may want to offend you and some may offend you accidentally. Don't take it personally you may just misinterpret their words.Skynut

You should ever take anything here as a personal comment against you. If you look at some of the post #, some of these poeple post constantly, so there is ussually a joke involved. My first questions were answered with great respect (even though they were kind of dumb), but I did once ask a questions, and got the same response as you, "discussed to death, use the search feature" (i think it was about bi-wiring [I know, discussed to death]). So never take it personally. Everyone started as a Polkie, and without you, this place would not exist.
And as far as this thread, it's been said to death. Use the search feature to find other polkies complaining about not getting questions answered, and refered to the search feature.
But keep the posting up and you will zoom right past this polkateer, into polkazoid fame in no time.Denon AVR-3803
