Is the acting better than in the first?
-
John,
I remember the first one, seems I recall it being different than the average flik and it holding my interest, do I need to watch it again before #2, I suffer from CRS, if it was past yesterday its pretty much gone.
This acutally helps with music since I have discs that I think are "new".

They were actors ? -
The first was one AWESOME, story wise, acting was terrible. I will be picking this one up today as I didn't have time last night. I wish they made more horror movies along this line.

Hmm, I too enjoyed the plot in Saw 1, acting made me barf. Saw 2 was OK at best. Similar plot, similar dumb people in the movie, similar ending. True, it's orginal like the first but I saw it in the theater and wished I'd waited for it to come on DVD.
Worth the $3.99 for a rental, but not sure about a buy. You tell me what you think.Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

just curiousI never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore -

I bought it and watched it yesterday, there was several times I could not watch (the oven scene...). I thought it was cool and am glad that I bought it.

I think Saw had is a great movie for DTS HT experience. Sometimes I like the more ambient subtle sounds in a movie soundtrack as opposed to the action big bangs and zooms. I imagine Saw II will be the same. Great movie for such a small budget, and I hate horror movies usually.-Stopher

This movie was insane. The story was off the chain. The ending - I didnt see coming at all. Infact, I still cant believe they pulled off an ending like that...and did it so effectively.
The traps? God dude... excellent traps - a venus fly trap for the human head? Who woulda thunk it! Seriously though, just excellent use of "toys/traps" - excellent use of mystery, and completely original.
I did think one part was just funny... lol - when they chick walks in the room and sees the antidote... she sticks her hand in the hole and gets it caught on those blades - then she pulls down and shes like OW... the she sticks her OTHER* hand in the OTHER* hole to pick up a SPILLED syringe (sp) and then she pulls down again on the other hand (2nd hand) and shes like OW... I must say I laughed incredibly hard. If she ahd blonde hair, this moment would of been perfect.
Lots of gore, mystery, suspense, some scare, originality - right up there with the 1st one... awesome movie.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
I saw it tonight. Thought the first was much better and had much more suspense.
Very disappointed.Holydoc (Home Theatre Lover)

WTH is with them not putting DTS ES on it like they did on the first one? I saw it in the theater and loved it and was very excited to buy it but once I saw it didn't have DTS... I decided to wait.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

Yeah, if they could get the sick **** writer to work with a better batch of actors these movies could be unreal. Just the reality aspect of some of these things is what makes movies like this so real, and truly horrifying. Who gets scared at some maggot headed dude with an old school hockey mask on opposed to something like this where the situations are somewhat plausible?
They're already working on Saw III.
