Wost games of all time?

We have the greatest, so why not the worst?

1) Doom 3 - Doom 3 to me is one of the worst games of all time. Sure, it has great graphics, sure its scary. But thats where it stops, the hallway slaughter this game presents is about as exciting as watching paint dry - I just can not get involved with this game to the point of sitting down and playing...
Its also possibly one of THE most over-hyped games I have ever heard of...

2) Any game where you are zoomed out from the character and your trying to control them - this is alot of games, but some that come to mind is Brute Force, Lord Of The Rings games, Spiderman games - just about any game thats made from a movie.

I usually enjoy alot of the games I play, but these are some that I just dont like or cant stand...lol
- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Superman for Nintendo 64 is a lot of junk....terrible...

All FIFA's (EA Sports) series...very bad too.... Winning Eleven (Konami) FAR FAR FAR superior.

Doom 3 is bad too...you're right. But i don't remember more (there are many...) :)

ET for the Atari 2600 should be on everyone's list....
and does anyone remember the Tick game for the SNES?
this putrid side-scroller had "stages" that were nothing more than the same enemy coming at you for upwards of an hour
no save or check points -- just cloned ninja after cloned ninja after cloned ninja (just running at you against the same background)
    horrible horrible horrible game
i thought the designers probably gobbled up the rights to this kick **** comic, and played a practical joke on the gaming public
i swear, one of the stages was actually titled "night of a thousand ninjas"
should have been titled "night and day of an infinite number of ninjas" :p

Ya. Are you just spouting this off to kissa@@ or what? Doom 3 was phenomenal for graphics and game play... how can this be in the worst ever games? It blew the first Doom games away, and there was actually a plot too.. more than you can say with a lot of FPS's.

By contrast, Descent was listed as one of the best games ever in that thread, but all you do in Descent is fly in between walls and shoot bots and monsters. And Doom 3 was worse than this how?!

I don't get Doom 3 being on this list either.

I'll be the first to admit it definitely had it's weaknesses, and I wouldn't put in in the best games category...

But to put it in the worst games group - well that's just ludicrous given the graphics, scary aspect, and game play.

Having said all that, I really didn't like Doom 3 all that much...did like F.E.A.R alot though...

My graphics card fried, and I haven't gotten a new one yet... therefore FEAR doesn't work. I only was able to play it for about 15 mins.. looked pretty freaky tho. I love it!

Doom was pretty freaky if you played it late at night, with all the lights off and good sound rig... I promise you will jump more than once, and often catch yourself holding your breath... in anticipation!

Having said all that.. (did I steal that line? :D) I can't put the game in the top 5 because it's so unrealistic in how many weapons you can carry, and how much damage you can take without dying... those are always my big ones. If you can carry 3 guns, that's reasonable. But 8? Common, no freakin' way.

Doom 3 is an AWESOME game. Its not anywhere near the original PS1 version of Doom and Final Doom but then again those games were perfect in every way for my taste. Doom 3 did fall short but its still an outstanding game.

As for worst games out there the list is way too numerous to post. Hell I cant remember most of them but I distinctly remember renting them and playing them a couple times and thinking "this is the worst effing game EVER!"

The reason why Doom 3 is on my list is simple

    1) Its the same effing thing..over and over again. You are in a dark hallway... you head to the next door - you might get attacked on the way...it might be locked, so then you gotta get a brain and go find it in some vent shaft...oh man! Then you open the door and you do it all over again. You can trigger all the creatures in the room before you with a flash light...

Its just...****, it really is. One of the worst FPS Ive ever played. Another reason its on my list is - it was SO hyped... jeez, way to hyped up... it dosnt even live up to 1/32 of the hype... just not even close.

If you like the hallway and things jumping out you... I guess its for you. But with the weak "story" and the repetitive game play...

    yeah, just no thanks.

Worst games of all time isn't really that fun... I mean, Superman 64 sucks a lot, but no one really cares. I think most overated is more interesting. I for one really don't like Tales of Symphonia (most cliche RPG ever made) and tons of people love that, and Kingdom Hearts was cute but had the blandest level design I have *ever* seen.

And saying all 3rd person games are the worst games ever is a little ridiculous. Just because you can't get the feel for a certain gameplay genre doesn't make it bad.

This is hilarious! ET was a huge stinker and totally worthless. Glad I never bought it. Friends were the ones with the Atari, so they bought it.

    Paperboy is close behind it.

The first Star Wars lightsaber battle game was a stinker too.
