Oritek Interconnects X-1 or X-2

Has anybody tried these interconnects? I know a few people that have sold VERY expensive interconnects after purchasing these, they rave about them. I've been tracking a pair on Audiogon for the last month, the only pair I saw were for XLR. I decided tonight was a good time to purchase an isolation platform for my transport...after doing the paypal thing I check back on audiogon...blam...a pair of X-1's up for grabs. Maybe next month.

If anybody has any experience with these on perhaps a Krell or SimAudio let me know I'd love to hear your thoughts. I use a pair of Harmonic Tech Prosilway mk II"s and love to hear how the Ori's stack up. Alot of people tell me it won't be close.

I own the X-1, but not with the gear you've mentioned. I use them in a reference headphone rig ($8.5K+ retail), which only requires 1 set of ICs between source and amp. I've briefly compared my 1.0m X-1's to 0.5m Cardas Neutral Refs and slightly preferred the X-1's. Both had fantastic resolution and microdynamics, which is what prompted me to switch to Neutral Refs from my previous HGA Silver Lace ICs. The Cardas however sounded just the slightest bit "shouty" in the upper mids. The X-1's were a tad more fluid and natural sounding throughout the spectrum.

My headphone rig is done - nothing more to upgrade - which is why I'm using them there. My new speaker rig has come a long way in the last week, but I've still got to upgrade preamp and speaker cables before I worry about ICs. So, for now I'm perfectly content with the Silver Lace and Neutral Refs in that rig, though in the future it might be nice to track down 2 extra pairs of Oriteks...

I lost another pair tonight. 1m pair from Sweden 135.00 OBO, I refreshed the page gettin ready to send an email...listing pulled...sold.
