I have a Directed D2400 3 12 in Polk Momo subs and a pioneer cd player, its been instaled for about a week now sounds awsome but after a while the cd player turns on and off and the amp does it too but it goes into protect i was going to go have it hooked up to the mic but i would like to have this problem fixed first

if it takes a while for the protection to begin kicking in, and then it goes on and off at intervals, i'd say that's the temperature protection circuit... ensure that you have adequate airflow over the amp, and that it's not mounted upside-down or anything crazy like that...
second guess would be the standard 'check your connections, especially grounds'...
try turning it on and playing at very low volumes for a while... does it kick into protection then? does it kick in faster if you play it really loud? It's not good, very fundamentally simply not good. - geolemon

Its your battery. Get a new one with as high a CCA rating as you can get. Dont forget to get one with a stout RC as well.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
