I purchased a pair of Energy Connoisseur C3's from Audio Advisor along with the CC1 center speaker. I picked up a pair of C1's off Ebay for my surrounds. All for $550. I still need to pick up the SVS 25-31 PCi. That'll be in about 2 weeks. So did I do ok? I really wanted to go with the RTi's but everyone said I should save up for some LSi's, so that's what I'm going to do. I've heard nothing but great things about the Connoisseurs. Steveinaz's excellent review for the C9's also helped with my decision. If you can't trust a fellow Polkie, who can you trust? :D

I'm a past Energy owner. They are pretty good speakers for the price.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Everytime I've heard Energy speakers, I've been impressed. A pair of bookshelves and a center channel for $550? I'd say that's great.

Congrats! You may just find you no longer feel a need to get the LSis. Just get some C9 for the front and move the C3 to the rear...:D

Not A pair of bookshelves and a center, but TWO pairs of bookshelves and a center. Not a bad price, if you ask me. I'll be sure to let you guys know how they sound. See ya.

Some pics and info real quick: C3 CC1

The C1's are the same as the 3, except with 5 inch drivers.

Well the system is finally hooked up. I received the C3's and the CC1 on Monday, but had to wait till Wed for the C1's. I haven't got everything properly calibrated yet, but these are amazing speakers. They're not at bright at all, and are very easy to listen to. And they kick all kinds of **** compared to my old Athenas. This weekend I'll be picking up my sub, a Velodyne CHT-12. I found one locally for only $100. I guess I'll have to wait till next year for an SVS.
