Ok im getting new speakers for the inside of my car. I have a mecury sable. For my front door im either lookin at Polk db525, or Alpine SPS-130A. And for my rear deck im looking at these 6x9 Polk db690, or Alpine SPS-690A. Now none of these are going to be wired to a amp (thats later). Money is gonna be tight. So tell me what ya think.

Polk. And if you're not crazy about sound quality, they don't have to be powered by an amp. But that would certainly help. Just power the front speakers or power all four.

With a four channel amp, it's straight-forward enough. With a two-channel amp you can just amp the fronts. Or, you could buy a slightly more powerful two-channel amp (or actually, I don't think you would, 'cause this would then present a 4ohm load...I think) connect the front left and rear left speaker to the left channel and the front right and rear right speaker to the right channel. You then wouldn't be able to control the fade (front/rear), but you'd have to hook it up that way to get stereo.

Simple question. If you had a cool million bucks, what would you do with it?

Yeah, if youre only going to be running head unit power then the DB's will work better.

The Alpines are good speakers although a little bright for my tastes but you cant go wrong with Polk.
