I see these in amp install kits. What are they used for?

attaching speaker wire to speakers or power wire to batteriesIt's not good, very fundamentally simply not good. - geolemon

so how many sets should i get if i have two amps that i'll be installing, one for dual subs and another for front component speakers? i believe the front speaker wires will be running to a passive x-over, not the actual tweeter/woofers themselves. -
ive never used them for my amps, just for speaker connections. Looks a little cleaner, but I couldnt really care less.
Buy more than youll think youll need, theyre not very expensive

i'm with cody, i never use the terminals, i find them annoying... if you want to use them, get em for the speakers/subs... bare wire for the amps (if they'd even take terminals)...It's not good, very fundamentally simply not good. - geolemon

all amps take spade terminals, its looks a little "cleaner", possibly a little safer since you wont have to worry about little strands of wire crossing over and touching something else, but i dont use em. Probably will for my next install, but only because it might help me get some extra points in competition
