You ever thought about an in-wall speaker?

Well, here's the situation...I recently relocated from the East Coast (NY) to Las Vegas because of personal issues/relationship abnormalicies, to be closer with family and I am kind of "borrowing" their surround system in their media room for the time being....but all that gear thats in there is basically mine because they dont use it unless I fire it up for DVDs and such...the walls arent really mine to break into or down to add a speaker right now if you know what I mean!
    ;)

I had almost the same gear in my own apartment back in New York -- the Onkyo TX-SR600 receiver, different Polk speakers, same sub, Panny DVD player, etc....

Has anyone else heard the Nine Inch Nails DVD "And All That Could Have Been" (DTS version). This is by far the best reference music DVD that I have ever heard. Very clean sound, and great surround effects. This is my #1 choice for reference meterial.

I have not r. I have the most recent release of The Downward Spiral, which also makes for great surround, all around demo capabilities. I will have to check out the one you mentioned.

Since I started this thread, I just wanted to add my top 3 movies to show off my new system...

    3. war of the world- machines first appearance from underground

2.LOTR the fellowship of the ring- the whole mines of moria scene sounds awesome.

1.The Incredibles- the airplane scene. I read the posts and only one person mentioned this movie. This scene has it all, use of surrounds, and a **** load of bass. When the plane explodes and hits the water.....WOW! If it sounds that good with a velo 10", i couldn't imagine how that would sound with a real subwoofer. I'll tell you one thing, this movie was not meant just for little kids.

I just watched the movie Red eye, which won't be known for surround but has two parts that sound really good. In the beginning when the plane is taking off, my whole room was shaking from the bass. and when they shoot that missile at the hotel room. and of course... Racheal mcadams:D
