LSi9
I just purchased a pair of LSi9's and the plate on the back is cracked along the perimeter near the corner posts. Will this drastically change the sound quality of the speaker or do I have to be a major audiophile to notice the difference? I blasted the speakers and couldn't notice anything. I need to know whether I should return them or not..

Yeah, exchange them. It probably won't affect SQ, but if you paid retail price for new speakers, you shouldn't settle for damaged merchandise. It could hurt you in the long run if you decide to sell them.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
