z-5500 speaker switching

Was wondering if anyone succesfully switched all logitech z-5500 or z-680 satalites for polk speakers? I have vintage rt5 hooked up to the front left and right and was thinking about going for the r15 for surround. However I heard that they are pretty power hungry as the z-5500 only support 62 watts per channel. Anyone succesful at ghetto rigging the z-5500 to support all polks - minus the sub and center? Want the highest range polks without blowing the amp on the sub.

Actually I did. have the r15 as surrounds, r30 for fronts and the klipsch sc1 for center. The reason i use klipsch for center is because i took advantage of the trade in that they have at that time. To be honest they match pretty well considering that z5500 was initially meant for computers. I am actually quite happy for now cos i know in future all i need is to upgrade the receiver and the subwoofer. But for now i will just leave it as it is until i saved enough money for the upgrade.

yah running the speakers on a receiver would be much better since the stock z-5500's amp crosses the speakers @ 120... which is kinda high? hehe.

Thankyou all for the replies. One last thing- Instead of going for r30s for front , would r50s work the same? Or would it best just to go for some r30s or r15s?

R50s > R30s.
