z-5500 polk switching

Was wondering if anyone succesfully switched all logitech z-5500 or z-680 satalites for polk speakers? I have vintage rt5 hooked up to the front left and right and was thinking about going for the r15 for surround. However I heard that they are pretty power hungry as the z-5500 only supports 62 watts per channel. Anyone succesful at ghetto rigging the z-5500 to support all polks - minus the sub and center?

I'm sure you can do that. The sub has the amp to power the polk bookshelves that you are adding so it should be no different than if you had the stock logitech speakers hooked up to it.

You may have to deal with varying speaker sensitivities.. ie you may need to adjust the speakers to have them all at the same spl.

My brother replaced the Klipsch Ultra sats (front 2) with Klipsch bookshelves and they worked fine. Same with yours.
