Forget about using Monster unless you want to waste your money.

Go with Audioquest, DH Labs, Kimber, Signal Cable, and many others. On the cheap, go with Acoustic Research.

Monster cable in general sounds very bright. I would stay away from them. My opinion is that anything else would be a better option.

lots of people are sour on Monster. myself included. Its more a marketing machine than anything else. dollar for dollar value used? I really dont know. I agree with Madmax that they can sound a bit bright, as was the case with my home theater. I recently got alot of the Monster cable out and it was a subtle, but noticable improvement.

Lots of cable, used, in that price range that would be a better choice, and not just becuase I am a little sour with the company itself (they lost me when they started trademark infringement action on Sesame Street....eeeesh dont get me started)

There is some difference in Monster's cables, the m 550i are decent enough, if you can get them for 30 not to bad but of course 20 would be better, they are decent cables.

I just cant get around their company policies. As suggested their are others you might buy.
