for sale is a rotel rb 990bx in mint condition. 200 watts in 8 omhs and 320 watts in 4 omhs with no scratches, original retail for $999. For $475 plus shipping, this is a steal for this powerful amp. this is a great amp to couple with lsi15, gives it a better soundstage, detail and plenty of clean power. Great for stereo listing. I am upgrading to a 5 channels parasound so this baby is up for sale. pics can be sent to email per request. Will be shipped in rotel double box.

    I already have one RB-990BX amp and I am using it to push two Cobalt JM Lab Towers in Front (I have seven JM Lab speakers in the system). I have another 250 watt times five channels Rotel surround amp for the other five speakers. However, one of the rear JM Lab towers and one of the side surrounds on the same side keep cutting out when I really crank it. My local high end stereo store owner/consultant (and friend) indicated that this is a common problem with these very large surround amps, even one as high quality as Rotel. He suggested the only real remedy is to get another 2 channel amp to push the two rear JM Lab Towers. He also indicated that it would be very important to have the additional amp be the same as the one pushing the front speakers to make sure the output remains stable to all of the main speakers (within similar variances). Having said all this, do you still have your amp for sale and if so how do we go about making safe transactions (for both people) on this site (This is the first time I have been on this site)? I have bought speakers on E-bay before (successfully) but wonder how this works for these types of posts. You can email me at rbrown@aea267.k12.ia.us which is my work email and one i check everyday.
