Wow..it definitely does not look like a SL2000; Does it say 3000 in the back? Never seen one of these..of course I've not seen many Polk speakers either

yep says sl3000, and i have the "other" sl3000's in my sda srs 1.2tl,,,definitely cosmetically completely different,, looks like there are 2 types of the 3000, hopefully someone here can shed some light on this:)

Due to the manufacturing process the color could not be controlled. Some are silver, some are blue-black and some have a gold tint. All are the same SL3000 tweeter.
These days you should take what you can find if you really want the SL3000's.Political Correctness'.........defined
