Folks - I've been a member here for a month now and found a lot of friendly folks. Hence the decision to make this post ....

www.distantdream.com

I was part of a 22 member team from 5-6 different countries that worked on this concept album for the last 2 years. It has a full story behind the album complete with some graphics etc. All the music is available for FREE on the website so I would really appreciate if all you Polk fans can take a quick peak and let me know what you think.

Any feedback on the album, the quality of music, mixing etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It is also available on iTunes, so if anyone's interested, here's the link:

Not bad at all. Better than the majority of the "music" that they're peddling these days.

The recording sounded like it was well recorded, but I'm listening thru my puter and a decent sounding Altec Lansing 2.1 computer set up.

The website is really cool, too.

    Good Luck with your music.

Well, if you ever "make it" to the big time, remember me when you need an entourage or a "Yes Man" that you can pay $100k or so a year to go on the road with you and make you feel like the King of the world. :D:D

Not too bad, nice graphics. It's a bit like Queensryche meets Tangerine Dream. I can't say any of the music really moved me, but not a bad effort at all. Keep plugging away and Good Luck with the project.

Well, unfortunately - this was only a one off project formed just to work on this album + story + graphics etc. A lot of members with diverse backgrounds and geographic locations were part of the project so even a road-show isn't possible since the main 2 guitarists are in 2 different continents, the vocalist in Portland, OR, the violinist in New Zealand etc. etc.

It was indeed a fun project while it lasted and with our limited budget we were pretty glad with the fact that atleast we were able to release an album - thank you all for the feedback and for listening.
