Folks - I've been a member here for a month now and found a lot of friendly folks. Hence the decision to make this post ....
www.distantdream.com
I was part of a 22 member team from 5-6 different countries that worked on this concept album for the last 2 years. It has a full story behind the album complete with some graphics etc. All the music is available for FREE on the website so I would really appreciate if all you Polk fans can take a quick peak and let me know what you think.
Any feedback on the album, the quality of music, mixing etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
It is also available on iTunes, so if anyone's interested, here's the link:

If he did, he's way behind...
To the original poster
I'll check it out.... My bro is in the recording/music business (Unlocked Entertainment-Just started up) tough but fun way to make a living. Good luck....There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin -
I like the graphics, but have no sound on this machine. I'll have to try later.Denon AVR-3803

Not bad at all. Better than the majority of the "music" that they're peddling these days.
The recording sounded like it was well recorded, but I'm listening thru my puter and a decent sounding Altec Lansing 2.1 computer set up.
The website is really cool, too.
Good Luck with your music."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

Well, if you ever "make it" to the big time, remember me when you need an entourage or a "Yes Man" that you can pay $100k or so a year to go on the road with you and make you feel like the King of the world."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

Not too bad, nice graphics. It's a bit like Queensryche meets Tangerine Dream. I can't say any of the music really moved me, but not a bad effort at all. Keep plugging away and Good Luck with the project.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -

Well, unfortunately - this was only a one off project formed just to work on this album + story + graphics etc. A lot of members with diverse backgrounds and geographic locations were part of the project so even a road-show isn't possible since the main 2 guitarists are in 2 different continents, the vocalist in Portland, OR, the violinist in New Zealand etc. etc.
It was indeed a fun project while it lasted and with our limited budget we were pretty glad with the fact that atleast we were able to release an album - thank you all for the feedback and for listening.Distant Dream - A New Beginning
