I'm not holding my breathe that Directv is going to add this to their list of HD-Lite offerings anytime soon.
How is the channel programming, constantly interupted with commercials, or just a few at the top and bottom of the hour (HD-Net, DHDT)Proud SOPA Member since 2005! -
Same as the other HD only chanela, just a few scattered through.
They play a lot of live concert footage and music videos seem to be thier filler.
The only complaint is the guide menue only displays HD music or something like that for all of the shows, almost like they dont have a schedual. -

I've had MHD for a couple of weeks now. Really working out the LSi HT now with this channel. Video quality is awesome. Sound quality on digital coaxial out is similar to XM satellite radio. Not quite as good as pure cd quality.
Lots of hot chicks and videos. I never was a big country fan but that Miranda Lampert and Carrie Underwood videos are nice. Then you've got Natasha Bedingfield and Gwen Stefani in HD too..wowsa..
They play music types in blocks. So like 30 to 40 minutes of country.. then some alternative for 30 - 40 minutes, then some hip-hop / rap. Don't care for the hip - hop stuff to much but that new Beastie Boys video with Sasquatch was funny. -

I have heard some people complain about this but the SQ from my converter with an optical cable is awesome, nothing like XM. I haven't done a back to back comparison but I have seen some stuff I have on DVD and it sounds the same or damn close to. -
I wonder if this is a regional problem?
Do you have COX? -

Yep. I have Cox. Believe me I'm pleased with the sound quality. When I'm comparing to XM I mean the Polk XM receiver which my brother has.
Yeah, I would say it is close to music DVDs that I own. Like cds, some music DVDs are recorded better than others and I would rate MHD up there with the better recorded music DVDs. Glad you brought this up as it is a better comparison than satellite radio.
