My bro is gettin a bunch of eclipse stuff. heres the list

1 sc8364 eclipse 6" component set w/ xovers= 299.99

1 CSS labor install component system = 75.00

1 SE8365 6" 3 way coax speakers eclipse= 119.99

1 EA4000 eclipse 75x4 a/b amp w/ xovers= 299.99

2 AIR Labor install amp in rear = 60

1 hooker 4ga amp kit = 39.99

1 4ga 8 ga distrib block= 12.99

1 mtx 100wx2 @2 ohm stereo amp = 229.99

and 1 sw6103.4 eclipse 10 " woofer 4ohm = 79.99

i was told by exalted that maybe i should change out the mtx amp to a eclipse, just so everything is eclipse. i have found this.

http://www.eclipse-web.com/amp/ea2000.html which makes 175 rms x 1.

he is only getting one sub because he has a trans am, so small trunk room. it says 200 rms on the eclipse sub. will the eclipse amp for the sub possibly be underrated on their site and give about 200 rms? or what other suggestions do you guys have.

also- any other comments or suggestions for this setup, what to change? how will this sound in comparison to my polk setup ? i dont want him to be disappointed.

Thanks in advance guys

John

MTX makes solid amps, but if he wants to go all Eclipse that amp will be fine. I believe Eclipse makes some very good products as well, specially their HU's.

i like eclipse electronics, i don't think you can go wrong with that setup, though i can't say i've yet heard their speakers... i say you go with an eclipse amp, too, they're strong performers, just to have the 'cool' factor - and consistency - of having all one brand...
