Question about Yamaha 2500

I can get an brand new 2500 for $659 from a local store. My current setup has 4 rt800i for mains and rears and a pair of rt600i for surrounds, rt400 for center. I know it is all up to the listener but will there be a real difference between my Onkyo 601 and this. Has anyone been disappointed when getting a higher end receiver? seperates not included
