Anyone have a decent player for around $60 or less?

Absent any other requirements, Toshiba makes the 3990, which people seem to like a bit. Priced right around $60 new, it's probably worth a home trial.

I found it for $50 at Crutchfield. I can't find any feedback on it anywhere though... You got links?

Dude, it's $50, how much research needs to be involved?Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

The Toshiba is good, although I think the build quality is better on my Panasonc DVD S-29...or at least it is heavier and runs alot cooler. I pretty much only watch rental movies on it and in the 2 months I have had it I think it has skipped once (in probably 25 movies). The toshibas I have had in the past (I've had an SD-3109, an SD-4800 and briefly an SD-3960) were much more prone to skipping than this one seems to be. Plus it is DVD-RAM capable (not sure if the Toshiba is). Circuit City has them on sale right now for about $64 if I remember correctly.system 1:
