polyfill ?

Just built a sealed box for my 2 12" momo's, 1.7 cubes totaly, do I need to do polyfill... currently there isnt any

    spec calls for just under 1.8, so you should be fine... some people prefer the sound of a slightly larger box, which you can achieve by adding some polyfill... it's mad cheap, might as well try it... buy it at michael's or some other craft store, it's like 6 bucks for a huge bag...

    minimal to however much you like... i'd put in a very light packing of polyfill, see how that sounds, if you like it better, keep packing more in until it's 'full' (i.e. the stuff is popping out of the box if you're not holding it back) or until you stop hearing improvement... it's an iterative process...

    You dont need any. Polyfill is used to make the box seem bigger than it actually is. In your case, your box is actually a smidge bigger than the specs so you do not need polyfill.

    Polyfill will help out in tuning. If you want, do what Neo said till you find the sweet spot for your system.

    Yeah, but the Polk engineers went to an awful lot of trouble to figure out that sweet spot so you wouldnt have to which in this case is .88 sealed. If you build your box to .88 then you dont need polyfill.

    however, the sweet spot that polk spec's the box for is in one type of car... every vehicle will sound different with that .88 box, so some tuning is certainly necessary... consider that a single box will sound different pointing in different directions...
