LSiC Setting
Should the center chanel be set to large or small?
I have a LSiC & LSi15 mains The manis are set to large Should the center be set to large too? The center LSic one driver plays mids & vocals, the seccond driver plays only lows ( no vocals) & the tweter plays the highs. What would be the reccomended setting. I tried both & both sounds good. Seems on large the dialoug may be slightly harder to hear. Any advice?

PROCESSOR MODE CONFIGURATION
FOR THE LSi SERIES CENTER CHANNEL LOUDSPEAKER
The bass management or speaker configuration menus of most surround receivers offer the
choice of normal or wide modes for center channel operation. In discrete channel digital
processors these modes are referred to as small and large. Normal (small) mode filters bass
frequencies from the center channel speaker and sends them instead to the front left & right main
speakers or to the subwoofer output (LFE) jack. Wide (large) mode sends an unfiltered, full range
signal to the center channel speaker. Use the Small (normal) mode for optimum center (and
surround) channel performance and reliability.Dodd - Battery Preamp

Large is used for center channels with built in woofers or powered subs."The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it."

I have a Denon AVR-3311CI that comes with an Audyssey Auto Setup option. The setup automatically detects my speaker setup and classified my LSIc as "small" in comparison to my LSI15 fronts setup as bi-amp as "Large".

All speakers should be set to small if using a Sub as the low bass would be best coming from the sub. If your not using a sub and have large front tower speakers then set all speakers to small other then the front left and right speakers as those would play all the lower bass sound.
I'm not using a sub and my fronts are set to large with everything else set to small.Full 5 channel set of Polk Audio
